Above & Beyond’s AnjunaBeach SoCal Lineup Revealed
Beloved British trance trio Above & Beyond are throwing a beach party next month in Orange County, California and they’re bringing some of Anjunabeat’s top acts with them to celebrate. The full lineup for AnjunaBeach SoCal has been revealed and it includes a yoga set by Above & Beyond as well as sets from Luttrell, Mat Zo, and Lane 8 .
Having had much success individually, these three artists will help set the tone for the group’s largest California show to date, and their first on the shores of the west coast.
AnjunaBeach SoCal will take place Saturday, June 23rd at Huntington State Beach in Huntington Beach, California. The event will be open to guests age 18 and older and will be held from 12 noon until 9 pm. Tickets are still available and can be purchased HERE.
For anyone unfamiliar, Above & Beyond — Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki — have been running the Anjunabeat and Anjunadeep labels for years, and this lineup basically reads like a family reunion of artists they’ve helped build up. Lane 8 has become one of melodic house’s most consistent headliners in his own right, Mat Zo has bounced between trance, breaks, and everything in between since signing to the label as a teenager, and Luttrell has quietly turned into one of Anjunadeep’s most reliable hitmakers. Pairing all three with an Above & Beyond yoga set is a very on-brand move, too — the trio has been running actual sunrise yoga sessions at their Group Therapy events for years now, so this isn’t some gimmick tacked onto the flyer.
Organizers have billed AnjunaBeach SoCal as one of Above & Beyond’s biggest North American events of 2018, and with a beachfront setting instead of the usual club or festival grounds, it’s easy to see why. Early reports had tickets moving fast, so if a beach day with trance royalty sounds like your kind of Saturday, don’t sleep on grabbing a spot.
Between the yoga set, the beach location, and a lineup pulled straight from the Anjunabeat and Anjunadeep rosters, this feels less like a typical stage-and-barricade show and more like a full day out with the label’s extended family. If Above & Beyond’s past outdoor events are anything to go by, expect a pretty chill, sun-soaked vibe rather than a rowdy festival crush.
