The Austin City Limits 2018 Lineup Transcends Genres and Generations

It is finally that time of year again folks. Austin City Limits has announced its 2018 line up, and as if you needed any more reason to attend – it is absolutely spectacular. In 2017 I gave ACL a glowing review, calling it a near perfect festival. Each year C3 works tirelessly to improve upon the festival in nearly every way. The 2018 line up hits this point home.

A Lineup That Transcends Genres and Generations

Once again ACL shines by pulling headliners from every genre of music, including one which transcends them all. For rockers – Metallica, for EDM fans – Odesza, for Rap fans – Travis Scott and Childish Gambino, for alternative fans – Arctic Monkeys and The National and for everyone – the legendary Paul McCartney. It is rare to see this level of star power that transcends generations on one line up.

What I have always appreciated about ACL though is that way their undercard really helps up and coming artists find a national stage. This year is no different as dozens of smaller artists have made the line up well-rounded and incredibly intriguing.

If it is your first year attending ACL, do not fall into the usual festival traps. Arrive early and plan to spend days wandering. The festival is massive and opens early. Take time to discover new musicians, don't just storm stages when your favorite acts go on. I promise you won't be sorry that you took the time to explore.

Tickets

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here. Make sure to pay attention to which weekend certain acts are playing and purchase accordingly as not every artist is billed for both. We cannot wait to be back at Zilker Park this in October.
