1788-L And Blanke Combine Forces To Create Their Own Destiny

1788-L and Blanke have collaborated on Destiny, a glitch-filled electronic powerhouse of a track. There is a definite theme to both 1788-L and Blanke’s production styles, which I can only describe as futuristic power sludge. Both producers share a vision and with releases like this, I would venture to say that they have successfully brought said vision to life.

After an ominous start to Destiny, you begin to hear drum and bass percussion. The dnb subsides as the thumping bass is introduced. The sound of rain pouring through holes in the roof on an abandoned warehouse conjured in my mind as the industrial vibe takes hold. The song builds towards the drop which once it hits, sounds as if something is trying to force its way into this dimension. Explosive synths power through the grimy bassline as robotic vocals call out. After the break, the second drop hits with magnificent arpeggio synths that add beauty to the chaos. The song finishes strong with hard crashing drums until it tapers off with a sublime piano outro. Listen to the track below, and be sure to grab the free download here.
