Au5 has put out Closer, a breathtaking track with Danyka Nadeau. This collaboration is not the first time the two have worked together. Danyka appears on the 2014 hit Follow You as well as the 2015 track Inside. Au5’s complex sound design, combined with Danyka’s powerful voice, always result in an epic win for the fans.
Closer starts off with percussion that leads you to believe this track might go down a liquid dnb path. However, shortly after the intro, the harder hitting drumstep takes hold and the song expands from there in a way that only Au5 can do. I have been in awe of Au5’s growls for no lie, the good part of the last decade. The Colorado-based producer’s pure skill is on full display in this track. The classic Au5 drop crashes like a set of waves pulled from the musical ocean that is inside of his mind. Closer is an emotional roller coaster of a song that shifts from atmospheric melodic drops to delicate drum and bass runs that contain drumstep builds; it has something for everyone.
