Getter is Catching Some Heat on His New Music and We Can’t Help But Wonder, Why?

Getter has made a name for himself in the Electronic Music scene over the years with his hard hitting bass sound. Delivering some of the raddest sounds to the World, the American DJ/Producer has garndered on of the largest bass followings in the United States. Over the past year or so, the San Jose native has been experimenting with some new sound, in our mind some of his best/most diverse sounding music yet. However, as we have seen so many times, some of his day one fans have been pushing back questioning his change in pace. When a producer changes pace (The Chainsmokers, Dillon Francis, Alesso, Tiesto) their devout fans many times feel betrayed or as though their favorite artist has “sold out”. People often dont realize that, like us, these are people too, their inspiration changes. Lately on Twitter, fans have been hitting Getter questioning where his head is at.

In an industry that asks so much of these professionals, change is a necessity not only to stay sane, but to maintain a creative mindset. If you are going to sit here and tell me in your late teens-30's that your mind hasn't changed on your career path, I would have to call you a liar. Whether you are working on Wall Street or as a janitor, you're always looking for ways to improve your end goal and or career progression. I can't count on my two hands how many times good friends have switched up their lives to better suit their sanity. To me, “Solo” is probably the best track released to date by Getter and his Terror Reid project has brought the ability to captivate a completely different audience. It's rad to see the diversity and what these guys/girls are doing to further build their brand and ultimately keep their creative spirit alive.

What I'm saying, Dubstep is probably one of the easier genres of music to produce. Getter very well be at a point in his career where he wants to create more timeless tracks or tracks that allow him to experiment more with sound and truly figure out where he wants to be. The EDM world, including bass music, has become extremely saturated so give this a chance, it's been a ride so far and odds are, this is going to work out for the better. Also:

So be on the lookout for more earthshaking sounds whether they be hard hitting bass or the more diverse sounds he has grown more accustomed to. Either way, we dig son.
