Out now via Universal Music Sweden is the amplified new single release from German sensation TheFatRat, which comes after a fun scavenger hunt for his fans.
A collaborative effort with singer/songwriter Laura Brehm, “MAYDAY” is on one hand a dreamy ethereal affair, with floating atmospherics and Brehm’s wafting vocals, before it cascades into a crescendo of piercing synths and snare claps.
It’s a masterclass in subtle restraint before picking the right moment to explode into life, musically and vocally. TheFatRat, who seems to be adept at establishing himself across numerous and different platforms, is now pushing forward musically and comes with the goods on this serene bass cut.
