Exclusive Premiere: Ravitez Teams With Afrojack On ‘2012’, A Big Room BANGER

If you are a Big Room House fan, then Ravitez is a name that is already cemented in your brain. If not, it is time for him to get on your radar. The Wall Recordings artist has teamed up once again with label head honcho DJ Afrojack on an absolutely main stage rocking big room anthem, ‘2012’.
‘2012’ reminds us vividly of the sound that used to be front and center during the year 2012 – powerful, festival-sized Big Room House. An enchanting build up rides its way into one of the best big room drops I’ve heard in the past year. With that signature big room rolling drum in the drop, I immediately got an extreme urge to jump up and down even though it’s only 8:00 am in New York where I live. (Guess what? I did it anyway)
Less than a week out from Ultra, I don’t think Ravitez & Afrojack could have picked a better time to unleash this festival anthem. I will bet my life that Afrojack spins this in his sets, and I wouldn’t be surprised if many others did as well.

Why Wall Recordings Keeps Betting On Ravitez
This wasn’t a random pairing — Ravitez has been a consistent presence on Afrojack’s Wall Recordings imprint, the label built specifically to champion big room and festival-ready house records in an era when the genre’s mainstream spotlight had started to dim. Teaming Ravitez with the label boss himself for a track named after the peak year of that exact sound was a pointed move, signaling that Wall Recordings wasn’t done fighting for big room’s place at festivals even as trends shifted toward future bass, trap, and bass house.
An Ultra-Timed Release For A Reason
Dropping ‘2012’ the week of Ultra Music Festival in Miami wasn’t a coincidence either. Big room anthems like this one are built for exactly that kind of mainstage moment — huge crowds, a stacked lineup, and DJs looking for records that translate instantly to a festival audience. Afrojack has never shied away from championing this sound even as the broader EDM conversation moved on to other subgenres, and pairing up with an artist on his own label for a nostalgia-leaning anthem timed to Ultra week was a smart way to remind the festival crowd what got them there in the first place.
