Last week Crystal Skies dropped a remix of Blink, the Protoype & Kezwik track featuring Aislinn Martin. The duo have been making some jaw-dropping music for years, and are primed for a break out year. With a slew of never ending releases in dynamic originals as well as some of the best remixes I have ever heard, Crystal Skies work ethic must be unmatched.
This rendition of Blink immediately starts with a boost of energy provided by beautiful guitar work and some hi-hat runs alluding to a Trap song. However, after the build, the drop hits modifying the track from Dubstep to the more expansive landscape of Melodic Dubstep. The synths push and pull sound in different directions over top of massive chord stacks. Crystal Skies produced a bit of a genre-melting melodic dubstep future bass concoction with this one.
