Winter Music Conference Reveals 2018 Dates, Voting Opens For IDMAs

About a week ago I wrote an article about how the Winter Music Conference had seemingly ended as no details had been announced or updates been given over the last 11 months. Today, I am happy to inform you that I was in fact incorrect and the Winter Music Conference for 2018 is on!

Event Details

This year's WMC will take place on March 20-22 in the heart of downtown Miami, in the wildly eclectic and beautiful Faena District. The conference has been one of the most important driving forces for dance music over the last three decades. It has helped launch countless artists, festivals and of course songs.

This year's WMC panels have been broken down into 6 distinct categories: artists, agents and promoters, publicity, sync & licensing, A&R and radio and streaming. As the way we listen to music has changed so has the focus of the WMC. If you work in the dance music industry this is easily the biggest conference of the year for education, networking and skill development.

International Dance Music Awards

Taking place as the same time as the conference are the world renowned, International Dance Music Awards. The IDMA's are the longest running dance music specific award ceremony and sees votes from over 209 countries and territories. The award focuses on honoring and recognizing incredible achievements in several different categories. You can vote for the IDMA's here: VOTE NOW!

Overall we are thrilled to see the Winter Music Conference coming back for it's historic 33rd year in Southern Florida. For more information on the conference including specific panel topics, how to attend and more, visit the official WMC website here.
