News started to leak and it was soon reported that Griz would be cutting ties with the label he helped create a few weeks back. Even though All Good Records was synonymous with Griz, he no longer retained full control of the label and for reasons not yet disclosed he would be walking away from the project. Now this has not been formally confirmed, but in the Griz community it is decently old news.
Now today Griz posted the below picture to Instagram. Several sheets of what appears to hand written notes are featured in the photo alongside the caption, “it's about time we talked”. What could this announcement be? A formal explanation of the ordeal with All Good, or a new beginning? Only time will tell. All we know for sure is that we love Griz and hope all is well as he moves forward and continues to make the funky beats that move us.
