Zeds Dead & Jauz Announce New Collaboration And Tour

A song that I’m sure we all have been long anticipating is finally here, and not only that but a B2B tour to go along with it!

Two legends in the EDM scene, Zeds Dead and Jauz, have recently announced that they will be releasing a new track together on Decemeber 27th through their respective labels, Bite This and Deadbeats. The track, entitled ‘Lights Go Down’, is a drum and bass flurry of rhythm and energy that is bound to light up stages all over the world once it is officially released.

As far as the tour goes, it will be a 3 date series that spans from the December 29th show in New York to the NYE show at NOS Events Center in Bernardino, CA. The one in between those dates will be held at Rawhide Event Center on December 30th in Chandler, AZ for Decadence Arizona.

‘Lights Go Down’ ended up being exactly the flex both camps promised. It’s a proper drum and bass cut, all rolling breaks and sub-heavy weight, and it made a ton of sense on paper given how much both Zeds Dead and Jauz have leaned into d&b and bass-forward sounds through their respective Deadbeats and Bite This imprints over the years. The two crews have crossed paths plenty before, so pairing them up for a single instead of just a b2b set felt like the natural next step.

The mini-run also gave East Coast and Southwest fans a rare chance to catch both acts on the same bill twice in three days, capping off with a NYE blowout at NOS Events Center — always one of the bigger New Year’s Eve stops on the West Coast bass circuit. Decadence Arizona, the stop sandwiched in the middle at Rawhide Event Center in Chandler, has become one of the region’s go-to year-end festivals, pulling massive bass and house lineups every December 30th and 31st.

Both Zeds Dead and Jauz closed out 2017 on serious highs. Zeds Dead had spent the year pushing Deadbeats into one of bass music’s most respected labels, while Jauz kept building out Bite This as a home for his own genre-blurring sound. Teaming up for a single right at the turn of the year was as much a statement as it was a track — two of the scene’s hardest-touring acts putting their stamp on where bass music was headed going into 2018.
