Notaker has a track called Retribution that was released today on the Mau5trap We Are Friends 7 compilation. This is not the first time that Notaker has worked with Mau5trap, having released Abyss on volume 6. Between his regular appearances on the We Are Friends releases and the Genesis EP out on Monstercat, you can see why such big labels have been working with the talented producer.
Retribution is a delightfully slow building progressive house track that eases into the song. Layer upon layer the track grows and the song echoes as if to be playing down a long tunnel. Bursting through the other side the song expands into a classic Notaker designed world. Retribution is a dark haunting tale with echoing synths that weave throughout the song. The song tails off into a whisper and just like that it’s gone.
