DJ Snake Flies Fan From India To Paris For Sold Out Show
DJ Snake is obviously one of the biggest dance music artists in the world. The hit maker was recognized for a different reason that week though — one that involves how much he loves his fans. DJ Snake has some of the most ravenous and loyal fans in the world, so it wasn’t a surprise that Snake treats them with an equal amount of love and respect.
He took it to an entirely different level that week when he made a fan’s dream come true. The fan was flying to Paris from India and wanted to catch DJ Snake’s performance but unfortunately it was already sold out. The fan hit DJ Snake up on Twitter to address the issue and DJ Snake decided to do the fan one better than just a guest list spot. He actually ended up buying their flight from India to Paris as well. DJ Snake once again proved that he was worthy of everyone’s respect, whether it’s for his brilliant productions or random acts of kindness.

The gesture made headlines across the dance music press that week, and it fit a pattern for DJ Snake — real name William Sami Étienne Grigahcine — who’s built a reputation as one of the more fan-friendly headliners in the genre despite his massive crossover success. By late 2017 he’d already scored a Billboard Hot 100 smash with “Let Me Love You” featuring Justin Bieber and was riding high off his “Encore” album, but he never fully dropped the grassroots, give-back-to-the-fans energy that built his following in the first place.
That energy carried into the following year, too. In 2018 DJ Snake sold out a historic outdoor show at the Bois de Boulogne in Paris to roughly 80,000 fans, a moment he’s called one of the biggest of his career, and he’s continued packing arenas and festival main stages across Europe and North America in the years since. Small gestures like flying a fan across the globe don’t happen every day, but for an artist who built his name on tracks like “Turn Down for What” and “Middle” before becoming a global pop-crossover star, staying connected to the people who show up for him has clearly stayed part of the brand.
