Wade Maracle, an up and coming producer, has just released a track titled, Token, that really takes on the simpler side of electronic dance music and transforms it into a musical art form. Utilizing the less is more approach, Wade keeps a consistent off-beat guitar synth throughout the entirety of the track to create a cohesive track and signature sound. He then layers a differentiation of plucks, piano chord progressions, and slight melodies over the uniform background.
The drop, although not hard hitting, features a super-simple melody that really gives the track some flavor and breaks it down into a chill listening experience.
