Au5 has dropped the psychedelic adventure that is Goo Lagoon on Gravitas Recordings. Part bass music, part neurofunk, part dubstep, all Au5, Goo Lagoon is a journey through sound. Much like the majority of Au5 tracks this is an expansive song with deep growls that really showcase this producer’s mastery of bass music.
Goo Lagoon starts off in a jungle atmosphere, not the genre but rather the actual forest. The first drop is a display of undulating bass that rival that of Koan Sound or Joe Ford. The elastic sounding drop leaves replaced by a melodic dream-like sequence that transforms into an industrial and slightly glitchy breakdown. The stage is set for the final drop that is built up by delightful piano only to reveal deep sawing basslines encompassed by the wonderful melody that Au5 is known for. Listen to Goo Lagoon here.
