Slushii Confirms Upcoming Remix Of DJ Snake’s Massive Hit – ‘A Different Way’

DJ Snake definitely has stolen the show in the last quarter of 2017. While the year as a whole has seen many changes in what direction EDM is heading in, DJ Snake has been able to transcend the genre politics and continue to release heart stopping music. Now that the track has been out for almost two months we have started to see an uptick in official remixes being announced.
Slushii is the latest artist to confirm that he has ‘A Different Way’ remix coming up soon. It will be hard to top the most notable remix by ETC!ETC! but if anyone is capable of elevating the track and giving it a brand spanking new sound it is the man in the hockey jersey with electric blue hair. Hopefully we get more details including a release date soon.

What Happened To The Remix?
Editor’s note: going back through Slushii’s official release history, we can’t find any record of this “A Different Way” remix ever actually seeing an official release. A handful of officially tagged remixes of the track did come out from other producers, including Kayzo, but nothing from Slushii shows up in his catalog. It’s a good reminder that not every teased remix makes it across the finish line, whether that’s due to clearance issues, a shifted creative direction, or the collab just quietly getting shelved. We’re leaving this one up as a snapshot of the hype at the time rather than pretending it turned into something it didn’t.
DJ Snake And Slushii’s 2017 Runs
Context matters here too. DJ Snake closed out 2017 on an absolute heater, with “A Different Way” featuring Lauv becoming one of his biggest crossover hits and setting up the run that led into his Carte Blanche album era. Slushii, meanwhile, was in the middle of building out his own catalog of originals and remixes for artists like Marshmello and Alan Walker, cementing himself as one of the more reliable names in the future bass and melodic bass scenes even without this particular collaboration ever coming to light.
