Firepower is gearing up for the release of the 7th installment of their now legendary compilation series ‘Flatline'. The compilation series showcase artists new to the label, tracks that did not find their home on conventional releases and even just special tracks that fans have been calling for release. Today we have the privilege of debuting a one of a kind track that will be dropping on November 17th as a part of the forthcoming ‘Flatline Vol. 7'. This collaboration between PURGE and Felmax is known as ‘Gangsta' and to say that it is a showstopper is putting it lightly.
Two Unique Artists Combine Forces For Incredible New Track
Felmax was born and raised in Venezuela. The artist found initial success with his his remix of Iggy Azalea's ‘Fancy' which was released off of Trap Nation. After that release things started to take off fast. Supporting artists on national tours and performing at noteworthy festivals became a piece of daily life for Felmax. He was even able to see his collaboration Max Styler become the official song of the LA Galaxy. Now he has teamed up with the mysterious PURGE for an incredible new track.
PURGE is just as noteworthy as their collaborator on ‘Gangsta'. The duo who has decided to remain anonymous has found massive success with their initial EP off of Skrillex's Nest HQ imprint. While the duo continues to find their own unique styles through the release of both originals and remixes, they have also started to find their way onto festival line ups around the country.
‘Gangsta' Is A Statement Track
‘Gangsta' is a true combination of styles that works flawlessly. The tune pulls influences from all corners of dance music. Trap arrangements and more traditional bass styles are used in harmonious unison. The potent lyrical verse which floats through the release gives the track an added depth. Overall it is an aggressive statement piece. It says in spades that both Felmax and PURGE have found their strides and are evolving into truly monumental artists before our eyes.
