Minneapolis Is The Spot To Be This New Year’s Eve

Now that we’re into November, many people are already planning their holiday plans. This New Year’s Eve, EDM fans will be looking North at the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area (aka The Twin cities) to ring in the new year watching performances from some of their favorite artists. As someone who lives in the area, I’ve been watching social media closely for early event and lineup announcements. So far, there are three huge events that are sure to appeal to a fan of any EDM genre.  Looking at these three events, it's hard to deny that Minneapolis has the best NYE lineup this year.

The first event on the list is Above and Beyond performing at the Twin Cities’ newest venue, The Armory. This huge renovation project, underway in downtown Minneapolis near U.S. Bank Stadium, is wrapping up and getting ready to re-open the former armory building. Built in 1935, this space was formerly used by the National Guard and as an event space for boxing and wrestling matches, as well as Los Angeles Lakers games back when they were the Minneapolis Lakers. On New Year’s Eve, it will bring in one of the biggest acts ever, Above & Beyond, to perform in front of thousands of fans! Tickets are available via The Armory's website or SIMshows.

Next, there is Snowta NYE Festival at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This event is on its second year and doesn’t seem to be slowing down in the least. This two-day indoor mini festival will have acts like Pretty Lights, Excision, Golf Clap, Ookay Post Malone, Gucci Mane, Ganja White Night and many more! The festival will also feature events like a skate park and human bowling. Check out Snowta’s website for tickets and lineups for December 30th and 31st.

Finally, Skyway Theatre just released their lineup for their two-day party. Located in downtown Minneapolis, this venue is a common spot for fans to see shows on any given weekend. The six-stage event will feature acts like Jauz, Keys N Krates, Grandtheft, and Rickyxsan, to name a few. There will also be an art gallery, photo booth, and a silent disco at the event. Tickets are available on Skyway Theatre’s website.

It's hard not to find a show you'd be interested in. Bundle up and make your plans to visit one of the best cities in the Midwest this New Year’s Eve!
