Kayzo Has Finally Formally Announced His Debut Album

We had known this one was coming for quite some time. Kayzo had been sitting on a stockpile of new music — the artist was known to have almost 40 songs entirely ready to go that had never been heard before. That much unreleased music usually meant one thing: an album was on the way.
So while we assumed that was the case, Kayzo took a big step that day to formally announce his debut LP was on the way. This tweet was met with widespread excitement as fans took a much different tone with the artist that day than the day before. Kayzo got playfully ‘disowned’ by a few fans since he’d shouted out the Astros’ performance against his home state’s Dodgers. Check out the informal, but official, announcement below.
I guess this is a good time to tell you an album is on the way

Who Is Kayzo, Anyway?
Born Hayden Capuozzo in Houston before relocating to Los Angeles, Kayzo broke through in 2012 after winning Insomniac’s Discovery Project competition, which landed him his first DJ set at Escape from Wonderland that same year. After studying at Icon Collective, the production school responsible for turning out several of bass music’s biggest names, he built a reputation as one of the few artists genuinely fusing hardcore and metal influences with dubstep and trap, rather than just tossing a guitar riff over a drop.
The Album Turned Out To Be OVERLOAD
Kayzo’s debut studio album, OVERLOAD, landed on January 19, 2018 via Ultra Records. It leaned hard into the rock-meets-bass sound he’d been building his whole career, blending screamo and hardcore influences with dubstep and trap in a way almost nobody else in the scene was doing at the time.
What Came After
Kayzo didn’t stop at one record. He followed up with Unleashed in August 2019 through Ultra/Welcome Records, then NEW BREED in June 2022 on his own Welcome Records imprint. Each release doubled down on his crossover approach, pulling in rock and metal vocalists alongside dance producers, and cementing him as one of the few artists who could headline both EDM festivals and heavier rock-leaning stages.
