Luca Lush & Friends are Coming to Prove that Trapadelphia is Still Alive and Well

With the rise of genres like Bass House and Riddim, it seems that the sub-genre of Trap which once reigned king side by side with Dubstep has taken quite the hit. If you've been to a festival in the last few months, it's clear that trap artist are looking to other genres much of the time in order to get the proper crowd reaction and energy from their sets. However, many trap fans are still alive and well, and while they do not argue that the genre has changed in it's presence in the community, many see it as a transformation rather than an absence. Classic trap sounds that were heavily influenced by Hip-Hop seem to be straying further and further from the EDM spotlight, however rising styles such as future bass and experimental trap have been thriving. It's hard to look at the front page of an electronic music fan's Soundcloud and to not see at least one future bass song shining among the rest. As for experimental trap, the rise of the genre has been long overdue and the community seems to be rejoicing as major trap names have given large play out to the sounds of the underground scene.

This Thursday in Philadelphia, three of this newly evolved generation of trap acts will be strutting their stuff at our favorite venue in the city of Brotherly Love, Coda. Luca Lush, known for his incredibly unique style and ability to put original spins on some of the EDM's most classic tracks will be headlining the club. His set will be one filled with unexpected surprises and lots of fan favorites. With his discography so diverse, there is little that we can truly assume from him. Opening duties will be handled by sober rob and Whereisalex, two of the hottest names in the underground experimental community. These two producers have more talent than arguably the entirety of some genres do in an entire talent pool. Some of the cleanest 808's, most unique production qualities, and incredibly original compositions have come from the intensely musical minds of these two.

All three names on this lineup deserve to headline their entire own tours, let alone just one night at a club. For a cheap price, you have the chance to see some of the best electronic music that will grace the stages of Philadelphia this year. Tickets are still available here, so make sure to grab yours ASAP. This night will be different from any other dance music show you've attended, in all of the best ways. We do not recommend you miss it.
