Look I will be honest. I saw this collaboration between Tiesto, Aloe Blacc and Stargate and braced for the worst. It is always a bit risky when artists collaborate with pop vocalists as the results can entirely mix. While many say Tiesto has not been true to himself since he has started to produce more main stream oriented tracks – I have always been an ardent supporter of his exploration of different sounds. While I cannot say I loved all of his big room tracks, vocals cuts such as ‘Red Lights' and ‘Wasted' were brilliant. They were fun, catchy, and just hands down feel good pieces of music. So needless to say I was thrilled upon my first listen of ‘Carry You Home' as well.
Aloe Blacc instantly makes any piece of music he is featured on enjoyable. His rich and powerful vocals will immediately disarm any bias you may have. Then the drop and melodic section of the tune, are well – just incredibly happy. This track will make you smile and feel good and warm inside. You can hate all you want at the end of the day but one thing is clear – Tiesto is going to continue to succeed at just about whatever he tries his hand at.
