Nightclub Cancels Gig After Underground House DJ Has Ridiculous Demands

A new nightclub in the UK, Abstrakt, is calling out an underground house DJ due to his “ridiculous demands” after a booking failed publicly.

On Facebook, Abstrakt posted “It is with regret that we have decided to cancel the performance of Jeremy Underground at this Friday’s Abstrakt launch party.” The club said that they tried to book the artist a 4 or 5 star hotel, but the artist required a 5 star hotel with a gym and sauna. After booking the first hotel, the agent and artist continued to persuade the club to book him another hotel that had a sauna and gym. Following the booking of two rooms, Jeremy Underground's management stated that he would ONLY stay at the Sheraton Grand.

While trying to work out this differences at first, Abstrakt decided to cut their losses. “It’s against everything the underground scene / house music is meant to stand for and is exactly the type of behaviour that is making so many promoters stop promoting parties.”

While the post is public on Abstrakt's Facebook, Jeremy Underground's Facebook page is not available at the moment. Take a look at the events that unfolded below:
