Slushii Teases Massive New ID For His Upcoming EP at Ultra Taiwan

Earlier this week, Julian Scanlan, aka Slushii, tweeted that he is currently working on 3 separate EPs all at the same time. This is pretty impressive for the up-and-coming dubstep producer, who only just released his first feature-length album, Out of Light, a little over a month ago.

To add to the list, the DJ is currently on an Asia leg of his Out of Light tour, making stops in India as well as Ultra Taiwan just last night.

Watch Slushii here tease a song from one of his three upcoming EPs. Check it out.

New Slushii ID? I wonder what could it be?!

This ID is heavy and we can’t wait to hear what else Slushii has cooking for us. Keep up to date with Slushii’s newest tracks and EP releases by following him on his socials and soundcloud.

Slushii’s Busy Stretch Kept Delivering

Scanlan wasn’t just talking a big game. In the years following “Out of Light,” Slushii kept up a steady stream of releases on Monstercat and his own imprint, continuing to build out the dubstep-meets-melodic sound he introduced on that debut album. His Ultra Taiwan stop was part of a broader international push that saw him touring extensively across Asia and North America during this period, cementing his reputation as one of the more melodic, accessible voices in a genre often defined by its heaviness.

Instagram teases like this one became something of a signature move for Slushii throughout his career, dropping short clips of unreleased IDs to gauge fan reaction before locking in a release. It’s a strategy plenty of producers have since leaned on, but Slushii was doing it early and often, using his socials to keep fans locked in between album cycles.

That instinct for staying connected with fans directly, rather than just leaning on label rollouts, has stayed a hallmark of his career since. Whether it’s teasing an ID from the stage at a festival like Ultra Taiwan or dropping a clip straight to Instagram, Slushii has consistently used social platforms as a testing ground for new music long before it hits streaming services, a habit that traces directly back to moments like this one.
