Martin Garrix Throws Some Extra-Cheese on Latest Single “Pizza”

Over the past 4-years or so, Martin Garrix has completely taken over the EDM game. You can argue it, but I'm holding firm to that statement. The dude cannot be stopped. Guy has a track with Ed Sheeran that he dropped at Ultra Miami a few years back. He still hasn't officially dropped it. You don't hold onto a track with Ed Sheeran for that long unless 1) you're dumb 2) you just have that much heat in your arsenal that you can wait for the right time for an official drop. Martjin is far from dumb. At Ultra 2017 the guy played what? Two songs in an hour set that weren’t produced by him? Pretty impressive. Imagine this, sitting your grandchild on your lap and telling them stories about your childhood. “Yeah, little Scotty, before I turned 21 I created my own record label, had produced chart-topping collaborations with Usher, Sander Van Doorn, Avicii, Afrojack, and John Martin. Oh, and my mentor, and widely considered the best DJ of all time Tiesto, handed me the DJ Mag #1 DJ award in 2016.”

As one of the youngest producers in the game, he has garnered an impressive following of mentors and fans including two of the most iconic names in the industry, David Guetta and Tiesto. Dude is hardly old enough to drink a beer at Hakkasan and has been filling it to capacity for over 3 years. The dropping of his latest Single “Pizza” is rad on so many levels and not just because of the title.

The opening made me think I was on horseback galloping my way to marry my future ex-wife, Khaleesi. Not sure if it was a play on the Game of Thrones fad, but it sure seemed like it. Was a pretty cool way to start the song. Especially when the remainder veered so far off from where it started. Had a medieval tone to it, but as always, Party Marty delivered a progressive banger of a drop. The intro quickly turns to the token progressive masterpiece we have grown so accustomed to with Martin and he delivers what is another hit for the Dutchman.

Cuff your chic. Marty is back with more of what we have grown to expect from him. Fire. Expect far more like this to be released in the near future. Listen to “Pizza” below!
