Martin Garrix was performing in Ibiza last night when he brought out David Guetta. The duo performed their up coming collaboration with Ellie Goulding that we are still patiently waiting for release details on. The track is the TomorrowWorld 2017 anthem and is now known as ‘So Far Away’.

While the below clip is brief, it demonstrates that the duo is continuing to hype up the new track that we hope to get a full listen to soon. No release details have been announced but we have to imagine that it will be in the next few weeks. A collaboration between both Martin and Guetta will no doubt be topping the charts in now time.

Editor’s note: the original video clip for this moment was hosted on vid.me, a video platform that shut down permanently in 2017. Since no archived or re-hosted version of this specific clip could be confirmed, it has been omitted here rather than replaced with a guess.

A Preview Before the Final Release

This Ibiza appearance was one of several teasers Martin Garrix and David Guetta gave fans in the months following the track’s Tomorrowland debut, and it came during a stretch where the collaboration’s fate was genuinely uncertain. Ellie Goulding had performed the original vocal live at the festival, but behind the scenes there were disagreements about timing between her label and the two producers, which ultimately led to her parts being replaced before the song’s eventual release.

From Ibiza Teaser to Chart Single

“So Far Away” was eventually released in late November 2017 with new vocals from Jamie Scott and Romy Dya, becoming a steady presence on dance radio into 2018. Moments like this Ibiza performance, where the still-unfinished record was previewed live to a club crowd, were part of a broader trend of Garrix and Guetta building anticipation for singles well before an official release date, letting festival and club crowds serve as an early testing ground for a track’s reception.

The Irony of a Vanished Platform

There is a small irony in how this particular clip has aged. Vid.me launched with the promise of being a creator-friendly alternative to YouTube, but it shut down for good in 2017 after failing to secure enough funding to sustain its ad-free model, taking with it years of hosted video content, including clips like this one that once documented exactly these kinds of spontaneous festival and club moments. It is a reminder that even well-covered viral moments in dance music can become genuinely hard to verify once the platform hosting them disappears, which is why this post links out to the confirmed final release rather than reproducing an unverifiable clip.
