BROHUG Defines Basshouse With “The Streets” EP
Although the Swedish trio are relatively new faces to the scene, BROHUG has taken the world by storm with their refreshing brand of club music, “Brohouse”. Organically fusing bass house with deep, tech-driven sensibilities, BROHUG’s signature sound made its way into the catalogs of Heldeep Records, Spinnin’, Tchami’s CONFESSION, and Mad Decent’s sub-label Good Enuff.
Their new “The Streets” EP out now one of hottest labels in EDM, Dim Mak, delivers 2 absolute basshouse bangers. “On It” & “The Streets” weave in elements of hip-hop, trap, & of course their signature “wubs”. Both tracks are songs that will get any club or festival up and dancing.

How BROHUG Built the “Brohouse” Sound
BROHUG formed in Sweden and quickly distinguished themselves from the broader bass house pack by leaning into a heavier, more tech-influenced low end while still keeping their productions festival-friendly. The trio’s self-coined “Brohouse” tag became something of a running joke and a genuine brand at the same time, capturing both the rowdy, good-time energy of their live sets and the tougher production choices underneath. That balance is exactly why labels spanning the melodic-leaning Heldeep Records and the bass-heavy Confession catalog were both eager to release their music within the same year or two of each other.
Dim Mak’s Role in the Bass House Boom
Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records had already built a reputation for breaking new electronic talent well before “The Streets” EP, and by the mid-2010s the label had become one of the go-to homes for bass house acts looking to reach a wider festival audience. Pairing BROHUG with Dim Mak made sense on both sides: the label got two club-ready records built for maximum crowd reaction, while BROHUG gained the kind of platform that helped push them onto bigger stages like Hard Summer and Electric Zoo during this North American run.
