DJ Tigerlily Teases Collaboration with Avicii
For months now, many of us have been on the edge of our seats waiting for Avicii to release some new music. Today, you might just find what you’re looking for. DJ Tigerlily recently posted on Instagram a teaser of a possible collaboration with Avicii. In the video, a mysterious box is being passed around in a pool area. Once its contents have been revealed, you can see that Avicii‘s logo is pasted on what looks like a piece of plastic and a letter beneath it. Although the contents of the letter were definitely blurry, you can clearly see the word Avicii at the bottom of the paper. Dj Tigerlily also took the time to share on the video caption that “something exciting is coming soon.” Not only this, but she also wrote the hashtag #avicii2017.

Looking Back On This Tease
As far as we can tell, an official Tigerlily and Avicii collaboration never actually surfaced. Avicii’s own attention around this time was focused on the AVĪCI (01) EP, which arrived a few weeks later, and he continued putting out new material over the following months even after retiring from touring. Tigerlily, for her part, kept building her own catalog and touring schedule.
Avicii passed away in April 2018, and looking back at hopeful teases like this one carries a different kind of weight now. Whatever this box actually contained, it’s a small reminder of just how excited the entire dance music community always was for any hint of new Avicii material, right up until the very end.
