As the first full-length Gorillaz release since 2010, “Humanz” has been one of the most highly-anticipated albums of the year. A total of four singles have already built the buzz; however, with the album's release on the horizon (Friday, April 28), Sonos announced a partnership with the virtual band to bring their home to life.
In real-world installations, the Gorillaz “Spirit House” will be a fan experience to immerse fans in the world of Gorillaz like never before. Using the brand new Sonos Playbase, projection mapping technology and the physical space, fans will listen to “Humanz” and hangout with Murdoc, 2D, Russel and Noodle in their own home. The “Spirit House” will be in Brooklyn, N.Y. from April 21 to 23, as well Berlin, Germany from April 28 to 30 and Amsterdam, Netherlands on May 26.
“Come and bathe in high-tech sound, feast on unearthly visuals, and let the experience take you on the ultimate trip,” Gorillaz bassist Murdoc Niccals said in a statement.
Entry to each location will be free as long as you RSVP here. Watch the trailer below.
