Slushii’s New Song “Dear Me” Is a Song You Need to Hear

Life happens. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's not so great. We all get down on ourselves every now and again, right? Well, Slushii's new song “Dear Me” is here and it's an anthem to sing to yourself when the negative vibes start to roll in.

It starts off as a letter to self reminding you “it's okay to shed a tear once in a while,” before dropping into some of his most-recognizable sounds. In between lyrics that remind you that everything is going to be just fine, there is a nice mix of electric keys and billowing bass. It's the perfect balance of emotional draw and sonorous bass, which is something we've grown to love and expect from Slushii.

Could this be a compilation of personal affirmations that Julian Scanlan, once a young emerging producer reminded himself when he was feeling down or defeated? In fact, Slushii took to his Facebook page in November with a warning to the critics he had years ago.

We can't help but love the message in this song, as well as the song itself. Listen now and enjoy this brand new track. But be sure to add it to a playlist and draw upon it when life gets you down.
