Day 1 of The BPM Festival 2017 was in full swing, MATERIA at Salon Salsanera Raices was the party anyone who’s anyone was that Friday night of January 6th. Techno icon, Marco Bailey own brand, another genius move. With special guests and friends Dany Rodriguez, Alex Bau, Black Asteroid, and Toronto’s Carlo Lio. Unfortunately, Dany Rodriguez did not make it, Anna Tur took his place instead. Having the ability to speak to the crowd without saying an actual word. Being able to capture sounds and emit them so expressively is a true gift. Carlo Lio warmed up the crowd with such grace, everyone was so pumped.

The room was filled with techno lovers, waiting for the master behind MATERIA. He appears out of nowhere, it was like seeing an old friend. Everyone felt the same the way, we all cheered and clapped with such happiness as he emerged and making his way to the decks. The decks were already warmed up because of Carlo Lio but Marco Bailey set them on fire with his incredible set, starting off The BPM Festival a perfect way possible.
