Are you tired of artists who claim to say fuck genres – then all you get is a few bass house into dubstep tracks? Well if you answered yes to the previous question then take a ride on Pelikann's latest EP off of Saucy Records (no we are not affiliated, but we are big fans). Shakedown is a six track effort that will have you reeling in excitement as each track begins, as you truly will not know what is coming next.
The EP starts off with the title track ‘Shakedown', and we hope you like some good old fashion breakbeat. Shakedown is a a return to the old school sound, with pitched synths stretching over breakbeat. Next up you have ‘Badboy Sound'. The name is fitting. A ominous lead into the track makes for an aural intrigue, but soon that intrigue is met with an onslaught of sound that will pin you against the wall. The last original to Pelikann on the EP is “Calm It”. This one actually cracked a smile on my face when it dropped. Unexpected to say the least. I will not ruin the surprise but Pelikann has shown to be a master at making a track filled with sonic mystery.
The EP also offers some prime remixes from the likes of Affiliate, Rho and Data 3. Check out all the tracks and a mini mix below and if you love then please support the artists and label and purchase it here.
