Last weekend, the 6th annual EDC Orlando made history, the first sold out event bringing in a crowd of approximately 75,000 raging fans to Tinker Field – the largest ever. Electric Daisy Carnival is a place where people come together for two days from all parts of the world to dance, have fun, and to be who they want to be without judging. It's a place where people witness some of the greatest sets that artists have to offer. A place filled with peace, love, and making new life-long friendships. Without any of it, then there wouldn’t be an EDC Orlando. Last weekend that is what Insomniac Events exactly did, they blew us all away with creating a place where the people of Florida can come together for one epic festival. For two-days nothing but rides, good food, drinks, art, and everyone’s favorite DJs.
The kineticTEMPLE was brought to the Florida grounds which was an incredible, stunning, megastructure MainStage displaying for another weekend Under the Electric Sky. The unique stage had the signature Insomniac storytelling, bringing vibrant gorgeous visuals, along with an incredible sound system. Between the headlining acts, there were brief intermissions along with fireworks and all the special effects that Insomniac Events are known for. Must not forget the 26 lasers and 20 beautiful water fountains. The kineticTEMPLE spans 245 feet wide and towering 80 feet, displaying 400 video titles across the massive design. Next to the massive stage was the VIP section, where attendees had excellent viewing areas, a place to make Kandi bracelets, an area to vibe out and relax. Best of all there was a ball-pit deep enough to dive in and fun enough to relive your childhood. Creating a place to create new long lasting memories with old and new friends.
Throughout the festival were the other stages such as circuitGROUNDS and neonGARDEN. Day 1 – Friday, November 4 was an entire day devoted to their signature trance brand, Dreamstate. The other small stages were so cool and fun, the Smirnoff House was a great place to see DJs perform in an intimate scene. The Electric Beach stage was awesome filled with sand, giving off that summer in the fun beach vibe; a great place to relax and chill from all the wildness. Attendees enjoyed a handful of thrilling carnival attractions like the brand new LED-lit Dream Wheel, with breathtaking views of the massive kineticTEMPLE stage, and a 300-foot-long zip line that whisked festivalgoers over the sparkling Lake Beardall, brimming with inflatable swans and flamingos. We mustn’t forget about the ones who fill our hearts with joy, the ones who make us scream and cry, the artists of course. This year's lineup was packed with all genres within dance music with artists like Yellow Claw, Chocolate Puma, Dash Berlin, Porter Robinson, Bassnectar, Brillz, Boombox Cartel, Don Diablo, Standerwick, Simon Paterson, Mark Knight B2B Chus Ceballos, Nicole Moudaber, and Jamie Jones. This member from EDM Sauce has been to many festivals in the US and overseas. EDC Orlando was one of the best festivals ever, the temperature was delightful, the weather was almost perfect, and met incredible people along the way that will forever cherish. See your beautiful faces next year!
