More and more OWSLA and its fearless leader Skrillex have been changing culture in the Los Angeles area. Last night the OWSLA pop up shop laid host to a haunted maze, Basketball Pong & DJs all night for the first (of what we hope will be many) OWSLA Halloween Parties. Decorated to perfection the Pop Up had all the vibes of a chill outlet to hang with friends and enjoy the night of “Horror.”
The treat came when Skrillex jumped on the decks and played for what seemed like an eternity without voicing his presence. What ensured was nothing short of an anomaly; with Skrillex behind the decks and no announcement of who was playing, the scene was magical. An Icon spinning with droves of fans just hanging and vibing out to a hip hop inspired set with everyone in the scariest and most hunting iterations of themselves. All in all OWSLA is making real strides to curate a community in LA.
In our world, so many brands, DJ's, movements are trying to influence you to spend your money and experience their vision, OWSLA has started a trend of doing because “Why not” and not doing for profit, something I believe more influencers in our world should be striving for, cheers OWSLA.
