The Chainsmokers will make you work for new music. Last week, a mysterious countdown popped up on their website. We all had our speculations as to what this countdown represented as time slowly counted down to 7 a.m. PST on Wednesday, October 19.

The first announcement was that they’re planning on releasing a new EP…soon! But there was a catch. In order to expedite the details and/or the release of the EP, you had to connect with The Chainsmokers on Spotify. There was a ticker that was slowly moving towards 100% as fans completed this task.

The Chainsmokers Release New EP Music

In a matter of 24 hours, the full 100% was hit and additional news was unlocked. There’s a few exciting details that come with this announcement. The new EP will be entitled Collage, and it will be out on November 4. Because it’s been nearly a year since their last EP, Bouquet was released, there’s a good chance that the singles they’ve been playing all over the radio and have skyrocketed them to a household name will be on it. So in addition to “Closer” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” there are still some new additions to look forward to.

A few other exciting details with this unlocked declaration; the official video for “Closer” will be released on Monday, and a new single called “Setting Fires” will be released the same day as the EP.
