A rising artist in Toronto's eclectic electronic music scene, Totemic is pushing the boundaries of performance. His live performance is energetic and sensual, combining live violin with fast paced mixes that flow. He effortlessly melds melodic original productions, with minimal and aggressive drum and bass.
Totemic, whose original approach to electronic music sounds like “futuristic tribal rhythms merged with the ancient spirit of Dead Can Dance or Azam Ali.” His new EP entitled “Continuous Cycle” enforces that same approach to his own drum and bass style. It is the follow up to his acclaimed “Falling” EP released just a few weeks ago. Listen to both tracks, Daybreak is the first track off his upcoming Continuous Cycle EP. Nightfall is the closing track from the Continuous Cycle EP.
Totemic has performed at some of the most respected festivals in Eastern Canada including Harvest, All Stars, OM and Solstice three years in a row, as well as sharing stages with the likes of Daega Sound, The Funk Hunters, Gremlinz, Whitebear and DJ Madd. With releases this year on Street Ritual (US) and Rogue LTD (UK), his music and mixes are being played by DJs and streamed around the world.
