When it comes to trance music, there are three labels that constantly top the charts and set the standards for the rest of those within the genre. Those labels would be Armin Van Buuren's A State of Trance, Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats, and last but surely not least, Aly & Fila's Future Sound of Egypt. These three monsters dominate the trance community and a release on any of them is considered to be a stamp of overall approval from the opinion of the trance community. Trance legends Aly & Fila are generally the most consistent in releasing solid new music from smaller diverse artists with their label FSOE. Names that aren't very well known in the trance community can become household names after a few releases on this label in particular, and the duo in Aly & Fila have a knack for picking out future favorites when it comes to producers.
This week, the label released a new track by American prodcuer Niko Zografos who has become a regular on the label. Zografos is a stellar producer who perfectly combines emotional highs and lows within his track with a sense of power and epicness that takes listeners to a special kind of place.
Zografos' new track entitled Mykonos is no exception to the stellar quality of tracks that he is known for creating. The song features elements of older trance styles in it's bassline and combines those sounds with the new age FSOE sound that Aly & Fila have perfected and spread around the world. The new track is extremely powerful and features a pounding kick that sets the stage for the rest of the production. The high pitched synth pattern is pushed along by a forwarding melody that has been stuck in our heads since the release a week ago. The trance community can't get enough from FSOE, and this track is only adding fuel to that flavorful fire. Check out the track below and let us know what you guys think!
