This album was inspired by fashion. Jason Maek& Zaena removed themselves from their usual creative process and ventured into new territory. This time around, they put themselves in the mind of a fashion designer. In order to do this, they created their pieces using a mood board. They were able to create visual representations to draw inspiration and create a mood that reflects the different faces of fashion. The end result was a carefully crafted visual album.
‘Birthday’, has some trap influences accompanied by wonderful visuals of a couple dancing gracefully with the sea as their backdrop.
‘Get Up’, take up the tempo with hints of tropical house and moombahton. It is paired with an artistic display of contemporary dance.
‘Fashion’ is the third track is a fun and energetic tune suited with it's playful animated Music Video involving dolls, shoes and percussion.
‘Texting You’ is a dance-filled track and music video.
‘Rain On Me’ slows down the tempo with an abstract video.
‘Models All Around Me’, has a mix of big room and trap influences.
‘Walk The Line’ has a big room bassline matched with an expressive black and white dance-focused video.
‘I Need Love’, a hip-hop and trap concoction, accompanied by a video that followed the struggles of two lovers.
‘Fashion Week: The Visual Album’ is made up of ten songs and seventeen video projects that they filmed in five days. Take a listen to their music below.
