Republic In Pieces is a very mysterious guy/girl/group. In their FB bio it talks about who and what the project stands for: “A unique and very political project that uses the modern day democratization of music making to send a to the minute message about some of what the world is missing. Oppression, hate, abuse of power are all things that destroy us, our unity, our republic. But when we know, when our eyes are opened to these atrocities we have it in us to become a voice for the oppressed, with a message of love that is the truly most powerful thing in our lives.” Republic In Pieces' Distress EP is a four-track-project that brings together hints of dark electro alongside a unique, almost grungy/punk rock influence due to the continuous use of miscellaneously aggressive vocal samples.
