Pegboard Nerds, Luminox, and Partysquad At Avalon Hollywood 3/6

Making their triumphant return to the Avalon Hollywood, CONTROL is proud to announce that the Scandinavian duo, Pegboard Nerds, will be touching down in Hollywood for a special performance. Joining them will be trap-icon Luminox and Partysquad as support.
The Pegboard Nerds will once again be bringing their signature sound and energy to the legendary Avalon stage for what’s sure to be one of the CRAZIEST nights of the year! Tearing apart any restrictions to any one specific genre, the only thing that you can expect from their sets is that it’ll be epic.
Hailed as a pioneer in trap, Luminox is set to tear the roof off of the Avalon with his signature beats, massive drops, and larger than life presence on the decks. Luminox blends the bass inspired by trap and hip-hop with high-energy, hard-hitting EDM sounds to create his truly unique form of music. Partysquad started off in Hip Hop before making the transition to EDM and harnesses their unique roots for a sound never heard of before.
It’s going to be one hell of a night at the Avalon Hollywood!

Who Are Pegboard Nerds?
For anyone unfamiliar, Pegboard Nerds is the duo of Alexander Odden and Michael Parsberg, a Norwegian and Danish pairing who built their name through Monstercat, the label that helped define an entire wave of festival-ready electro and bass music in the early 2010s. Their catalog jumps between genres constantly, from glitchy electro house to full-on dubstep and trap, and that refusal to sit in one lane is exactly why a bill built around them, Luminox, and Partysquad makes so much sense. All three acts share that same restless, genre-blending approach to production.
Partysquad Brought Real Hip-Hop Roots To The Bill
The Partysquad is worth knowing more about too, since their backstory is a little different from most acts on a typical EDM lineup. The Dutch crew got their start producing hip-hop records before crossing over into dance music, and that hip-hop foundation still shows up in how their tracks are built, with a heavier emphasis on rhythm and groove than a lot of their peers. Pairing that background with Luminox’s trap-leaning bass sound and Pegboard Nerds’ all-over-the-map energy made this Avalon Hollywood lineup one of CONTROL’s more eclectic bookings of that era.
