BMI's “Song of the Year” is one of the biggest award ceremonies around. This years nominees are one of the strongest we have seen.
Along with EDM artists such as Avicii, Daft Punk and Calvin Harris, is Pitbul, Ed Sheeran, Christina Aguilera, Eric Paslay, Pharrelle Williams, Ellie Goulding, Passanger, Emeli Sande and Miley Cyrus.
Previous winners include Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta and Afrojack.

Avicii-Wake me Up
It's been a great-ish year from Avicii. As he recovers from his operation, he has some great things still comming out of him such as the new song “The Days”. Wake me Up was undoubtly one of the biggest EDM tracks around when it came out. Mixing country and dance, Avicii created the perfect track to zone out to.

Fantastic year yet again for Calvin Harris. Loads of number ones and collaboration with artists all around the place. This one featured Ellie Goulding and topped charts all around the world with its vibrant rhythm and lyrics. Good Job Calvin!
