Now shortened down to less than a week, we continue to bite our nails incessantly, anticipating the release of LUMBERJVCK‘s ‘JVCKWOOD' EP on Rottun Records. Coming August 25th, we decided to gather LUMBERJVCK's 5 Guilty Pleasures of Music in the meantime, for him to showcase some of his weirder and more obscure tastes to the audience. Quite a good selection of tracks, and goes through a great diversity. Enjoy:
1) Justin Timberlake – Cry Me A River
One of my all time favorite Timberlake tracks. I like everything he makes, but this song has gotten me through so much heartache. It’s a great track to blast in the car right after you sever ties with an unfaithful partner. The production quality Timbaland brings to the track is also something to admire.
2) Wheeland Brothers – In With The Newport
I stumbled across the Wheeland Brothers when I was in Santa Barbara with a friend. They opened for a band we wanted to see and ended up being just as good if not better. I think these guys need to be on the radio as soon as possible. Their music is the best for going to the beach and relaxing. This track is one of my all time favorites by them.
3) Windoview – 4am
Such an amazing track. I love the acoustic guitar work and vocals. It has been an all time favorite for me ever since I heard it and I love showing it to friends because the band is generally unheard of.
4) Eagles – One Of These Nights
I heard this one a lot as a kid because it was my Mom and Dad’s favorite song. I fell in love with it myself and have been listening to it ever since. The Eagles never disappoint!
5) Lil Wayne – A Milli (Asher Roth Remix)
I know all the words to this one. Asher Roth murdered this Lil Wayne hit! You can catch me rapping this on the way to the club any night.
