Lotus continues to gain popularity in the dance music world by ignoring genre limitations. These guys pioneered the idea of thinking outside the box. Performing music with live instruments has become popular outside of traditional instrumental music. They found a spark of ingenuity and took live electronica to the next level. Digital music, accompanied by guitars, pianos, drums, and even saxophones, etc. are appearing on EDM festival stages worldwide.
Lotus is preparing to drop their new album “Gilded Age” on Tuesday, July 22nd. Here's a sneak peak at one of four down-tempo, electronic remixes that will accompany the 6 original songs featured on the album.
American-born producer, Marley Carroll, presents a colorful display of disco house and minimal electronica. His edit of “I Want It All” is both soulful and tasteful. It's vital to maintain the emotional behind the vocal, and Carroll strikes gold with his delightful sound design and intelligent melody reconstruction.

Lotus' pianist & guitarist Luke Miller:
“On this album we wanted to occupy that powerful place of the human mind, the mental eye that can see erosion and cracks and envision a palace. We focused primarily on simple organic instruments: drum, bass, guitar, piano, percussion, played live in a room. The overall mood is one of reflective happiness, the joy of the impermanent, nostalgia of halcyon days.”
