A few weeks ago Thomas Gold reached a fantastic milestone with his Fanfare radio show that is broadcast on Sirius XM's Electric Area and podcasted through Soundcloud weekly. To celebrate this impressive landmark Thomas threw a private party 20 stories above Manhattan in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City at Le Bain on top of The Standard Hotel. The evening was filled with good people, good music, good spirits (of both variety) and made for good memories. Thomas Gold and his team were kind enough to invite EDM Sauce out to cover the event and be part of the party.
Le Bain was the perfect setting for the event. The club was much longer than it was wide. There was a long open bar on the left side, a DJ booth with Thomas at the helm in the middle and a large hot tub and dancers surrounded by couches on the right side. The walls were all 15 foot glass windows giving all of the guests a beautiful panorama of the city. The empire state building towering above the Manhattan skyline behind Thomas was especially stunning as the German born producer took command of the intimate crowd with a wide variety of tracks including both classics and exclusive premiers.
Thomas played a two hour set that was both nostalgic as well as impressive. The Fanfare host played out songs that were premiered on his first podcast over two years ago as well as new remixes and mashups including an exclusive remix of his track ‘Remember'. As the night progressed Thomas passed out shots himself to the crowd and made several toasts as he continued to suggest people take advantage of the hot tub. Everyone seemed skeptical that anyone would take the plunge in their evening wear, but sure enough there is always a couple of good sport party animals that obliged to the request of the DJ.
The night was a total success. Thomas Gold definitely made sure that everyone had an incredible time as even after his set, he found the time to step down from the booth and take pictures with his fans and answer questions as well. The party wrapped up around 11pm, a blessing in disguise as the entire event took place on Monday. Thomas' set was broadcast live on Electric Area. If you are still curious about the night then you can check out the video that was compiled from the event below. Thanks again to Thomas and his entire team for inviting us to such an incredible party! We cannot wait to see what the next milestones of Fanfare bring!
