Porter Robinson – Language (PAZ vocal remix) [Free Download]

Everyone knows how much of a hit Porter Robinson’s ‘Language’ has been in the electronic dance community. Originally released back in 2012 via Big Beat Records, the track became one of the defining progressive house anthems of that era, the kind of instrumental build that could send an entire festival crowd into the air on the drop alone. This amazing vocal remix by PAZ puts a refreshing spin on the popular song.

PAZ, an LA-based producer and DJ, states on his Soundcloud from a recent interview with VENTS Magazine, ‘It’s surprising to hear lyrics on a song you’ve heard so many times before only as an instrumental. But it’s even more surprising when those lyrics make the song arguably better than the original’.

This remix is a must listen with catchy melodies and a hook that truly takes the build-up to the next level breathing new life into the song you’ve heard many times before. Turning a purely instrumental festival anthem into something with an actual vocal hook is a tough needle to thread, since a big part of what makes ‘Language’ work in the first place is that soaring, wordless buildup. Adding lyrics on top of it without stepping on any of the original’s magic is exactly the kind of thing that separates a solid remix from a great one, and PAZ pulls it off here, giving longtime fans of the original a totally new reason to hit play again.

The track is PAZ’s 3rd single off his debut record ‘From The Bottom Of My Heart To The Top Of Your Lungs’ to be released in May, currently available to download free via the artists Facebook for a limited time.
