Your one and true love could be out there if she likes the moves you are executing. This of course is according to researchers at Northumbria University and University of Gottingen who conducted a study aimed at pinpointing the dance movements that have a higher probability of capturing a woman's heart.
The study was done using a group of 30 men who were asked to dance to a core drum beat for 30 seconds. Their movements were then recorded and then viewed by a group of women who were tasked with rating their moves based on seeing their performances. The performances were turned into computer avatars and were giving points for dance quality on a seven-point scale. The results?
It appears ‘good dancers' made large and varied movements with their neck and trunk. Also, highly rated dancers had fast leg movements and flexible knees. Conversely, men who stayed stagnant and kept their arms and legs close to their body were rated poorly. Researchers found no relation between arm movement and dancing ability.
What does this all look like? See below two videos. The first shows the avatar of a ‘good' dancer, while the second shows a ‘bad' dancer. This information coincides with festival season revving up. So better get practicing, you're true love could be out there if she notices you got the right moves.
