When it came to Valentine's Day this year, I knew there was no better way to spend it than with Showtek at Soundgarden Hall in Philadelphia. As far as venues go, Soundgarden has more of an intimate underground feel to it, so as you can imagine I was greeted with hundreds of true music loving fans as I walked through the doors. Everyone was dressed from head to toe in full festival attire. I've visited this venue many times and you could tell this particular crowd was ready to party.
The opening DJ's John G and Giuliano Presto had the crowd at maximum enthusiasm, as if these were the main sets everyone had been waiting for. When Showtek hit the stage, the room exploded. Everyone went absolutely wild for their opening song ‘Slow Down', which literally blasted us in our face with full bass, confetti, lasers, and fog. Of course they hit us with all their signature bangers such as ‘Booyah', ‘We Like to Party', and ‘Get Loose', but by far best parts of their set were the hard drops they surprised us with by mixing them with well-known songs. All the people in the room were vibing with each other and everyone was having the time of their life, whether they came to celebrate the holiday with friends or someone special. The combination of good vibes and an epic set by Showtek made for an epic Valentine's Day blowout!
