When the forefather of crunkstep joins forces with the self-proclaimed “Pugsley Addams of bass music,” this is what you get. Crizzly and Figure have just released their drumstep collaboration, “All Black Everything,” which you can download for free on
Crizzly's Soundcloud page. As the intro filters in, the Jay-Z sample- taken from his song “Run This Town”- repeats as the old-school hip-hop drums possess you to nod your head. The drums are soon replaced with Figure's heavy-hitting drumkit as Crizzly's high-pitched Synth looms in the background. Once the song reaches the drop, Crizzly's signature buzzy synth oscillates at a groovy rhythm, and come the second drop, Figure invades Crizzly's mid-range sound with his screaming synth — but what else would you expect from the guy who coined “horror-step?”
In related “free music” News, Figure has announced earlier today that his latest releases- both his Monsters 4 album and Horns of the Apocalypse EP- are free to download on
his Soundcloud page. Consider it an early Christmas gift, as well as something completely opposite of the nauseatingly joyous Christmas music that will be saturating the airwaves for the next couple of weeks to listen to.
Monsters 4 , Horns of A. Ep .. and all that now fully up for free http://t.co/nNXebvp4YG
