Kanye West's The Life of Pablo has just made streaming history.
Kanye's LP was released back in February of 2016 and has been streamed more than 3 billion times worldwide. 1.5 billion streams have been in the United States alone. With the 3 billion streams, The Life of Pablo becomes the first album to be RIAA-Certified platinum from streaming alone.
Kanye West continues to make history on streaming music websites such as Apple Music, Tidal and Spotify as his album sales only accounted for a fraction of his total units sold/streamed.
This new record is a true testament to how the world is changing and consuming music in every day circumstances.
