Exclusive Interview With The Futuristic Polar Bears

We’re just starting off June and 2014 has already been a huge year for the Futuristic Polar Bears. Hardwell, one of the biggest names in EDM, has backed them and has been raving about their hit song, ‘Back To Earth,’ ever since he played it for 60,000 people at TomorrowWorld! Fran tells us they “…were over the moon!”

“ Hardwell is such an inspirational person and it’s been an honour and a privilege to work with him and his team at Revealed.” With so much support from one of the biggest names in EDM, ‘Back To Earth’ topped the Beatport charts at #1, becoming one of the trio’s greatest hits to date.

“We hoped that the track would do well as all the Revealed tracks are really well received,” says Rhys “but to go to #1 was an amazing feeling and we hope it’s the first of many to come.”

Since coming together in 2010, the Futuristic Polar Bears have formed a trio that has grown into a family. When asked about how they’ve grown, Rhys responded with

“We’ve all evolved together over the past few years in so many different ways and it’s like I’m now working with not just my best mates but my family – it’s great to know we’re all in it 100% together.”

Fran and Luke were already playing together before bringing Rhys in, which was a natural fit because they all shared one key trait: their love of music.

“I think our love and understanding for music bought us together and thankfully we haven’t looked back since,” said Fran.

Well, we’re all glad they haven’t looked back because they’ve been able to come together, like the family they describe themselves as, and accomplish some amazing things. Their new hit, ‘Game Over,’ is currently at #24 on the Beatport Progressive House charts and climbing the Beatport Top 100, while their smash hit ‘Thundergod’ climbed up to #34 on the US Billboard charts.

We’re just half way through the year and the Futuristic Polar Bears have done so much already and with their new track with Danny Howard and Vargo out in June, and an imminent visit to Ibiza, what’s next for the Futuristic Polar Bears?

“We’ve got loads in the pipeline” says Luke, “we’ve got our new track forthcoming on Spinnin but that’s all we can say at the minute, trust me you’ll know soon enough.”

Soon enough isn’t soon enough, but all we can do is wait patiently. As they say, you can’t rush art, and that’s exactly what they’re making: art in the form of music.

The Futuristic Polar Bears would like to give a “big thanks to everybody that has supported us this year and we hope to see you at one of our shows very soon!” EDM Sauce is excited for the possibility of a FPB tour and hopefully they’ll be stopping by you soon.
