Frankie Knuckles Boiler Room Celebration in Chicago

March 31st marks a year since the death of house music legend Frankie Knuckles. If you do not know who Frankie Knuckles is, to be concise, he was the the godfather of house music and really paved the way for and inspired many of the artists we hear today. He is a Chicago legend and has a street named after him in the city, which was facilitated by then Senator Barack Obama (pretty awesome). These are just a few facts to scratch the surface in showing his overall significance in creating a house music scene in the United States (in addition to his many hits on dance music charts in the United States and around the world). He was indeed a very important figure in house music. In honor of his life and death, Boiler Room (the premier underground music production leader) will be returning to Chicago for a special pop- up secret show on March 30th, which you can track the details for HERE. The show will be broadcast live, but keep a look out on the linked page for RSVP information because Boiler Room sets are definitely something you want to experience. Check out the video below to get a feel for Boiler Room (and Frankie Knuckles)!
